Many people talk about “teaching creativity,” but that idea misses a deeper truth. Creativity is not something added to you later in life. It is part of how you were created from the beginning. The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:4 that we are invited to become “partakers of the divine nature.” That statement is profound. If we share in God’s nature, then creativity is already within us because God Himself is the ultimate Creator. The real problem is not lack of creativity but lack of awareness. When your mind is renewed and ignorance removed, you begin to rediscover the creative and inventive spirit God placed inside you.
The real limitation is not ability but knowledge. The Bible says in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” When people do not understand their true nature, they begin to accept false ideas about themselves. This is one reason many Africans feel inferior to others when it comes to creativity, science, or technology. But that belief is not true. Throughout history, people of African descent have produced original ideas, inventions, and discoveries. The human spirit carries divine potential regardless of race or background. Every human soul created by God remains an immortal spirit, worthy of respect and capable of great things.
The next step, therefore, is to actively develop the creativity God has placed inside you. Creativity grows with use, just like a muscle grows stronger through regular exercise. You must challenge yourself to think, learn, and build something every day. Feed your mind with knowledge, acquire useful skills, and expose yourself to new ideas. These things become the fuel that keeps the creative fire burning. As your understanding grows, the potential within your spirit begins to express itself in practical ways. Remember, the gift is already there. Your responsibility is to nurture it, discipline it, and allow it to become a blessing to the world around you.
