You Just Need To Walk In Love

When life is viewed only through a self-centred lens, it begins to look like a zero-sum game. You start believing that for you to gain something, someone else must lose. Success feels like a competition where every victory for another person is somehow a threat to you. That mindset breeds envy, suspicion, and conflict. But this way of thinking corrupts your understanding of God. When you step back and recognise how great God is, and how small and fragile we all are, you begin to see life differently. God’s provision is not scarce. Once that truth sinks in, the path becomes simple: you just need to walk in love.

When God blessed Solomon with wisdom, Scripture also says He gave him a “large heart,” a heart with great understanding (1 Kings 4:29). That detail is important. True wisdom is not only about intelligence; it is also about the size of your heart. People with narrow hearts struggle with envy, bitterness, and suspicion. They cannot think clearly because their love is too small. But when you learn to love people, your heart expands. You begin to see situations with patience and balance. Wisdom and a large heart go together. A person who truly walks in love is also walking on the path of wisdom.

To tap into the abundance and unlimited nature of God, the key is love. You must learn to love people selflessly, even when it costs you something. This was part of the secret behind the success of Solomon. When God asked what he desired, Solomon did not ask for wealth or fame. Instead, he asked for wisdom to lead and serve God’s people (1 Kings 3:9). His heart was focused on the good of the kingdom, not on promoting himself. That is God’s kind of love. It enlarges your life, enriches your soul, and turns you into a blessing whose impact can reach generations.
