Jeremiah 51:20–23 discusses being the Lord’s battle-axe and weapons of war. God uses this vessel to make a national impact. Nobody uses a battle axe for domestic purposes. It is a strategic tool for making massive changes in the world. You must begin to see yourself as a weapon in the hands of God. And see what great and powerful things he can accomplish through you for the betterment of your world. Many times, people become distracted while searching for a big idea. Some are looking for amazing spiritual encounters. But in the end, it’s all about letting God use you.
It is not about raising the dead, calling down fire from heaven or walking on water. It is about yielding yourself to God. And allowing him to use you to do whatever needs to get done in your generation. Do not overthink your mission. Take it one day at a time. Look for how you can be useful in your local community. How the gift of God within you can bless the lives of the people. It is not about chasing awards and recognition. It is about yielding to God. God wants to use you as his battle-axe to make a difference.
Do not get stuck thinking about some big things you want to do. Trust that the Lord will use you for what he wants. Your mission begins with cooperating with God so that he can use you to make a difference. And as you work with him, your understanding of your purpose grows. You start small. Do not seek clout or recognition. Just keep a low profile and do your best. Stop thinking you don’t have any money or resources. Those things will come as you remain faithful with the little. You are all the equipment you will ever need. Get out there and go to work!
