In Genesis 1:28, God blessed mankind, charging us to be fruitful, and to multiply. This goes beyond giving birth to more children. It is about producing results. At the end of the day, your purpose is all about doing your best work that glorifies God. All the creativity and spiritual gifts are given to you so that you can do your best work. All your dreams, visions, and supernatural encounters are all meant to inspire you and equip you to do some real work. Without the work ethic required to produce results, your spiritual vibrancy is useless.
A vision is spiritual. It is not something that is real in itself. Somebody must sit up and do the work for the vision to become real. For example, if a five year old child has a vision of becoming a medical doctor. The child must then spend years in school, passing critical examinations before the vision is achieved. You do not become a medical doctor just because you want to. Seeing yourself attending to patients in a dream does not make you a medical doctor in real life. Without years of study and practice, such dreams are useless.
Many Christians claim they are looking for their divine purpose. They want to know what God would have them do. But on some level, they are not sincere. No genuine Christian is clueless when it comes to purpose. We have the general assignment for every Christian to be involved in soul winning and discipleship. This is a great place to start for every sincere believer that is seeking purpose. What we find is that these Christians looking for purpose are just lazy. They hide their fears and laziness under the excuse of lack of clarity. You’re not confused, you’re just lazy.
