You Need To Pray With More Seriousness

One of the most productive and profitable things you can do on the earth is to pray. Your prayer habits go a long way in determining your outcomes in life. There is a reason the early Christians considered prayer to be the master key. Sadly, this great universal privilege given to believers to commune with God is being misunderstood. Like all great gifts from heaven, prayer has been abused. But this does not make praying the right and proper way any less powerful. Your creativity and spiritual gifts might not find maximum expressions if you do not cultivate a rigorous prayer discipline.

Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” This means to pray at all times and on every occasion, integrating prayer into one’s daily life consciously, as opposed to doing without much thought or structure to it. Allowing the Spirit to guide the words and intentions of the prayer. There are many forms of prayer, including things like confession and meditative prayers for example. You must master various forms of prayer, and learn to use the one suitable for your situation per time.

If you’re not happy with your current lifestyle. If you’re in a position where you don’t like your current levels of creativity and spiritual gifts, prayer is the key. Deep down, you feel you could be more than this. You feel you could be serving God at a higher level, impacting more people through your work. This could be the Holy Spirit signalling for you to “come up hither!” The cry for you to come to a place of greater intimacy with the Word of God, and the Spirit. You can pray enough, confess the word enough, and meditate enough to have a breakthrough in wisdom, creativity and spiritual gifting.
