Knock, Seek, and Ask

Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States, is hard at work—poking, knocking on doors, renegotiating deals, and shaking up the status quo. Whether or not you agree with his policies or methods, it is clear that he is determined to deliver on his campaign promises. Some of his ideas may not always work out, and others may seem like payback for his own legal troubles. But beyond the controversy, there is a valuable lesson for anyone watching the world and striving to make a difference: bold action is essential to reshape the world.

The willingness to challenge the norm and ask difficult questions is what sets real change-makers apart. Jesus Himself urged us in Matthew 7:7 to “ask, seek, and knock.” There is power in knocking on doors that seem closed and challenging long-held beliefs. New ideas emerge when we push boundaries and challenge conventional thinking. Like Trump, we must be unafraid to go where others won’t and question what others won’t—especially when fulfilling our God-given mission. You can not fulfill your destiny if you continue to think within the conventional, and the familiar.

As you walk in your calling, remember that nothing changes without action and boldness. If you are not willing to do things that might seem unreasonable, how can you change things? If you want to make an impact, start knocking on new doors and pursuing fresh opportunities. Don’t settle for the comfort of what’s familiar. God calls us to be change agents in this world, and that requires courage and persistence. You may not always get it right, but if you keep asking, seeking, and knocking, you will eventually walk through doors that lead to transformation.
