If you are going to complete your mission, you need three things: love, wisdom, and power. In that order. First is love. Real love. God’s kind of love. Every assignment from God will involve people, and if you do not truly love people, you will struggle with your mission. You cannot serve people while irritated by them. The love of God must become your foundation. You must learn to see people the way God sees them. Love gives you patience. Love gives you compassion. Love keeps your heart pure while carrying heavy responsibilities and difficult assignments.
Then comes wisdom. The Bible says wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. Many people think their biggest problem is lack of money. But many times, the real problem is lack of wisdom. Wisdom helps you know what to do next. Wisdom helps you avoid waste, confusion, and unnecessary battles. When Solomon received wisdom from God, his entire nation changed. One wise decision can save you years of struggle. One wise strategy can unlock your next level. If your mission will succeed, you must become serious about growing in wisdom everyday.
Finally, you need power. Sometimes your mission will demand raw spiritual strength, emotional strength, mental strength, and physical endurance. There will be resistance. There will be pressure. There will be days when you feel tired and discouraged. That is why you need power from God to keep going. Jesus told the disciples to wait until they received power before fully stepping into their assignment. Power helps you stand firm when things become difficult. Power helps you continue when others quit. Power helps you push through opposition and fear. Love gives your mission the right heart. Wisdom gives your mission direction. Power helps your mission survive and prevail.
