Stop focusing on what you don’t have and start using what you do! Romans 12:6-8 reminds us that we each have gifts that differ, but whatever gift God has placed in your hands, it’s your responsibility to put it to work. Whether it’s prophesying, serving, teaching, inventing, or encouraging, use your talent every day to make an impact. If you lead, lead with diligence. If you give, give generously. The more you work your gift, the more it multiplies. Stop waiting for perfect conditions—start now with what you have, and watch God bring increase.
The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) shows us that failure isn’t about how much you’ve been given—it’s about what you do with what you have. The servant with one talent didn’t fail because he didn’t have five; he failed because he didn’t put his talent to work. His excuse of not knowing how to use it didn’t hold up. The Bible implies that he could have consulted others who had been entrusted with more and learned from them. The master punished him because, instead of taking action, he buried his talent. The lesson is clear: use what you have, seek guidance if needed, but never remain idle.
So, don’t be discouraged if you don’t have everything you think you need to succeed right now. You do not need five talents to get started. Start with what you have. There is something good about where you are right now—there is strength and potential in you. Focus on what God has already given you, and put those talents to work. Whether it feels small or insignificant, use it faithfully, and watch it grow. God honors those who are diligent with what they have, so take action today and trust Him for the increase.
