On Divine Breakthrough And Sudden, Unexplainable Millions

Every now and then, another Ponzi scheme collapses and people lose their savings, salaries, school fees, rent money, and peace of mind. Many of the victims are sincere Christians who genuinely believed this was their “divine breakthrough.” That is the painful part. We have created a culture where people expect sudden wealth without corresponding productivity, labor, or value creation. But Scripture does not support that mindset. Proverbs 13:11 says, “Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.” God can bless people greatly, yes, but throughout Scripture, God blesses work, stewardship, wisdom, discipline, obedience, and productive labor. Wealth without structure destroys people quickly.

Many believers admire wealthy pastors without understanding the years of labor behind the results. A large church is not magic. It is years of preaching, praying, counseling, leading, building systems, and serving thousands of people. Wealth always follows value creation. Pastors create tremendous value through their church. They are not rich for doing nothing. Many scams target Christians using spiritual language. They promise harvest without farming, increase without labor, and wealth without value creation. That is not faith. Faith is not fantasy. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Biblical faith still carries evidence.

Christians must stop confusing desperation with faith. Wanting financial change is normal, especially in difficult economies, but pressure can make people vulnerable to deception. If somebody promises massive returns while removing the need for skill, service, patience, productivity, or real economic value, be careful. God is not against prosperity. God is against deception, laziness, greed, and falsehood. The answer to poverty is not gambling your future on unrealistic promises. The answer is growth, wisdom, skill, discipline, creativity, service, and long-term value creation. Commit to doing the right thing. Your life can become fruitful, stable, and truly prosperous.
