Your Job Is To Follow Jesus, And He Will Connect You

As high-impact Christians, we understand the power of strategic alignment, yet our relationship calculation and permutations must begin with God. Mark 10:29-30 is a powerful promise: for the relationships you sacrifice for the Kingdom, those influencing you toward sin or dishonor, God promises a hundredfold return. This isn’t just about quantity; it’s about quality. You won’t be lonely, but you will be led into high-caliber, divine connections. Trust that as you draw closer to Jesus, he will curate your network, replacing draining or compromising associations with people who honor him and fuel your destiny.

Many in the professional sphere calculate relationships based on worldly potential: who looks like an MD, CEO, or key government official tomorrow. This cold, human-centric networking often leads to manipulation, scheming, and a loss of integrity. As believers, we must reject this approach. While strategy is good, excessive calculation is a distraction. If your focus shifts from building with God to chasing titles and status, you risk making inappropriate moves and falling into error. Your business blueprint must never supersede your spiritual walk; otherwise, you’ll compromise your character for a fleeting connection.

The foundational relationship is with God. Period. Once that is solidified, the Holy Spirit provides the discernment necessary to navigate human connections. God may lead you to people who don’t initially look “important” by the world’s standards, but who are essential to your assigned purpose. Trying to force and scheme divine relationships is exhausting. You will genuinely enjoy and benefit more from your network when you allow God to be the Chief Connector. Let him put the right people, at the right time, in the right place. Your job is to follow Jesus, and he will connect you.
