It is almost a cliché or a truism to ask Christians to pray. Asking a Christian to pray borders on cliché precisely because its importance is universally acknowledged. Yet, its very obviousness shows how important it is to the spiritual life. You must come to a point where you understand that prayer is the master key to breaking yokes from hell, injecting new life into dead ventures, and opening new doors of opportunity. When your world is out of control, and you’re not so sure what’s going on. Prayer is the way forward.
Your prayers can go a long way in influencing the course of affairs in your world. You can change the situation of your life, family and work by prayer. Beyond that, your prayers can shape your community and the atmosphere around that place. It is a good idea to take notes of things you don’t think should be happening to you or around you, and take time to pray about them. As someone tasked by God to watch over your world, prayer needs to become second nature to you. Something will happen when you pray.
Keep on with your prayers. Pray at all times. Pray without ceasing. And if you do that with an open mind, and a grateful heart, you soon begin to identify answered prayers every single day. Over time you realise that your current level in life is the fruit of your prayers. That is where the confidence to pray comes from. If I pray today, I’ll get a resolution. Prayer is most effective when it is backed up by faith. You build faith by immersing yourself in the word of God. The word of God should dwell in you richly. Make word-filled prayers a pillar of your life. You’ll see results.
