Breaking Out Of The Prison Of Sight

Apostle Paul reminds us to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). There is a great difference between sight and vision. Sight is what your natural eyes can see. What is obvious, present, and immediate. Vision is what God shows you beyond the limits of the now. Sight is the crowd before David; vision is the throne God had promised him. Sight is the prison before Joseph; vision is the palace that awaited him. If you live only by sight, you will be trapped by circumstances. But if you live by vision, you will walk by faith.

“I will not be imprisoned by my sight.” That must be your prophetic declaration. Your sight will tell you there is no money, no opportunity, no way forward. Your sight will whisper defeat, fear, and impossibility. But vision speaks differently. Vision calls you to trust God’s word over your feelings. Vision dares you to believe in tomorrow when today looks broken. Vision breaks the cage of limitation and leads you to the wide spaces of destiny. If you only follow sight, you will shrink. But if you follow vision, you will soar.

At the end of the day, sight will bow to vision. What your eyes cannot see today, your faith can already grasp in the Spirit. Sight may be filled with lack, but vision is filled with abundance. Sight may see the cross, but vision sees the resurrection. Sight may see the storm, but vision sees the calm on the other side. Child of God, do not settle for what sight alone tells you. Live by vision. Hold onto God’s promises. Because in due time, what you see with vision will become what you see with sight.
