The Grace Factor In Business

If you talk to any successful businessperson, it is almost certain that you’ll hear them mention a “lucky break.” They’ll tell you about a door that opened suddenly, a chance meeting, or a deal that came out of nowhere. If they’re religious, they’ll call it grace. That moment, the one that changed everything, is rarely something they could’ve planned. That’s because, in business, there’s always an element you can’t control. You can work smart, do all the right things, and still come up short. Unless grace steps in. For believers, this is not superstition. It’s the truth: the grace of God makes all the difference.

Grace doesn’t cancel strategy. It empowers it. You still need competence, marketing, good product development, and customer service. But beyond that, you need the supernatural. That’s why prayer is not just for pastors or evangelists. It’s for founders, creatives, tech professionals, farmers, consultants, and anyone engaged in work. If you want to see consistent breakthrough in business, you need to consistently bring your business before God in prayer. The world calls it luck. We know better. We know the hand of God when we see it. We call it grace. And grace is what turns hard work into supernatural results.

The Bible says, “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord” (Proverbs 21:31). This is why we pray. This is why we surrender our business plans to God. Yes, set your strategy. Yes, learn your market. But also, pray over your business. Declare God’s promises over your clients, your contracts, your decisions. The more you pray, the more you’ll see “luck” follow you. But you’ll know it’s not luck. It’s favor. And when favor is on your business, no one can explain it. But everyone will see it.
