The gifts and talents you carry are not random. They are sacred deposits from God, given to you for a reason. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 teaches us that there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. It is the Spirit who decides who gets what, and how. That means your creativity and your spiritual gifts are not ordinary. It is a spiritual trust. Never trivialize your gifts. Don’t downplay what God has entrusted to you. Own your gift. Honor it. Take it seriously. Your gifts are the seed within you, with the potential to change the world.
Though your spiritual gifts come from God, you are responsible for how they are used. The Holy Spirit gives freely, but stewardship is in your hands. You can bury the gift. You can misuse it. You can even neglect it. But you can also stir it up. You can train, develop, and sharpen it. You are not a robot waiting to be controlled. Please understand that you are a partner with God in the use of your gift. Don’t be passive. Be intentional. You have to look into how you can maximize your creativity and serve at the highest levels with it.
Use what has been given to you with clarity and purpose. At the highest level, your creativity and spiritual gifts were never meant to serve your ego or status. The most powerful gifts flow through love. They shine brightest when they are used to help others, solve problems, lift burdens, and build people. The purpose of your gift is not applause, it is impact. If love is not your motivation, fall into pride or get sidetracked. But if your gift becomes your way of loving others, it will multiply and flourish beyond anything you can imagine.
