The work you do today may not make perfect sense in the moment, but trust that something is growing beneath the surface. Jesus compared the kingdom of God to a man scattering seed—he does his part, then goes about his daily life, unaware of how the seed sprouts and grows (Mark 4:26-27). This is how life works. You plant, water, and stay faithful, but only God brings the increase. There will be times when progress seems invisible, but if you keep working, one day, you’ll look back and realize that everything was coming together in ways you never imagined.
Many times, we expect instant results and miracles, but God often works through a process. When Moses stretched out his hand over the Red Sea, the water didn’t split in an instant like in the movies. The Bible says a strong east wind blew all night (Exodus 14:21-22). Imagine the Israelites waiting, wondering if anything was happening. But God was at work, moving the waters, making a way where there was none. This is how God moves in our lives. You take the step of faith—stretch out your hand, do the work—and God takes over, working behind the scenes until breakthrough comes.
You don’t have to see the entire staircase before taking the first step. If God has given you a vision and a clear leading to start, then start! Too many people wait for perfect conditions, but provision often comes as you move. The Red Sea didn’t part while Israel stood still—it parted as Moses obeyed. When you take action, the right people, resources, and opportunities will align in ways you never expected. Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good for those who love God. Trust Him, take the step, and watch everything fall into place.
