Perseverance Will Lead To Breakthrough And Provision

Isaac was determined to get water in the middle of a famine, knowing that survival depended on it. Just like his father Abraham, Isaac began digging wells. However, every time he found water, opposition arose, and his wells were claimed by others. Isaac faced constant discouragement and difficulties, but he did not give up. He moved on, dug another well, and kept pressing forward. Finally, his persistence paid off when he found not one but two wells. His story in Genesis 26:17-33 reminds us that perseverance in the face of opposition leads to breakthrough and provision in our mission.

Strive Masiyiwa’s journey to break the government monopoly on telecoms in Zimbabwe is a powerful example of perseverance in the face of immense opposition. When he set out to establish the first privately owned telecoms company in the country, he faced intense persecution and legal battles that lasted for years. The government frustrated his efforts at every turn, trying to block him from moving forward. Yet, Masiyiwa refused to give up. After a lengthy court case, he finally won and founded Econet Wireless. Today, he has built telecom and tech companies across Africa, proving that persistence can turn obstacles into global success.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Similarly, Matthew 24:13 assures us that the one who endures to the end will be saved. Both scriptures emphasize the importance of perseverance, especially when facing difficulties in pursuing a mission. Like Isaac and Strive Masiyiwa, your persistence will lead to a breakthrough. Stay committed to your vision, even when the path is tough. Endurance, grounded in faith and hard work, will lead you to victory.
