Seeing God In Your Business Choices

In business, decisions made without the influence of lust, pride, or any of the works of the flesh tend to be the right ones. The Kingdom of God is within us, and when we make choices free from the corrupting influence of the flesh, they align with God’s will for our homes, industries, and communities. By seeking purity of intention and heart, we can ensure our actions and decisions are in harmony with God’s purpose, leading to prosperity and well-being not only for ourselves but also for those around us.

Enron is a powerful example of what happens when business decisions are influenced by greed and pride. This once-successful energy company collapsed because of dishonest practices. The leaders within the company engaged in fraudulent accounting and deception to inflate profits and hide debts. This lack of honesty led to the company’s downfall, causing financial loss and suffering for many people. Unfortunately, this isn’t just history. Even today, business owners and professionals make poor decisions by ignoring their internal sense of right and wrong. They make decisions based on the flesh rather than the spiritual life. The Bible says that being carnally minded leads to death. That is why businesses fail.

The beatitudes remind us, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). If you want to experience God’s presence and blessing in your life, career, and business, you must strive for purity of heart. This means making decisions grounded in righteousness and integrity, free from the influences of lust, greed, and pride. By doing so, you open yourself to divine guidance and favor, fostering environments where God’s Kingdom can flourish in every aspect of your life. Embracing this mindset leads to true success and fulfillment, both spiritually and materially.
