Fashion changes. Technology changes. Governments rise and fall. Social media trends come and go. Yet principles remain the same. People still prosper through diligence. People still damage relationships through pride. People still lose opportunities through dishonesty. People still reap what they sow. Truth does not become false because a generation dislikes it. As Christians, our lifestyle should not be shaped by whatever is popular at the moment. It should be shaped by timeless principles. These principles are not hidden. They are plainly revealed in Scripture for anyone willing to learn and practice them.
Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” His teachings were never designed for one generation alone. They reveal a pattern for Christian living that works in every culture and every age. The Bible teaches us how to speak, how to work, how to forgive, how to handle money, how to raise children, and how to treat people. Christian maturity is not asking, “What are people doing these days?” Christian maturity is asking, “What principles should govern my conduct regardless of the age in which I live?”
This is why spending time with the Word of God is so important. We do not read the Bible merely to collect verses or complete a reading plan. We read it to discover God’s pattern for living. Over time, the principles of Scripture begin to influence our choices, shape our habits, and direct our conduct. When the Word of God dwells richly in you, it becomes easier to recognize what is right and reject what is wrong. A Christian lifestyle is not built in a day. It is built by living under the influence of God’s Word every single day.
