You Too Will Do Impossible Things

Peter saw Jesus walking on water and asked a dangerous question: “Lord, if it is You, command me to come.” Jesus answered with one word: “Come.” That single word changed everything. Peter stepped out of the boat and began walking on water. Think about that. A human being walking on water simply because he obeyed the voice of God. It did not suddenly stop being water. The storm did not disappear. The wind was still blowing. But as long as Peter focused on Jesus and kept moving in obedience, he was doing something impossible. That is how many God-given missions feel in real life too for many people.

Many purpose-driven people are trying to walk on water right now. God has called you into something bigger than your current strength, experience, money, or connections. In the natural, it should not work. The numbers may not make sense. The support may be small. The economy may be hard. Everything around you may suggest that you should sink. But if God truly said, “Come,” then obedience matters more than appearances. Your assignment is not to argue with the storm every day. Your assignment is to keep your eyes on God and keep moving forward. Walking on water has never been about comfort. It has always been about trust and obedience.

The moment Peter became more conscious of the wind and waves than the word of Jesus, he began to sink. That still happens today. Many things can pull your eyes away from your assignment. But if God called you, then keep walking. Stay focused. Stay obedient. Stay faithful. Some missions will feel impossible until the very day they succeed. That is the nature of walking on water. You may not understand everything right now. You may not even feel ready. But if heaven has spoken, then move. One step at a time. Keep walking. By the grace of God, you too will do impossible things successfully.
