Many businesses are not dying because of competition. They are dying because of distraction. There is always something new; AI, new platforms, new ideas, new strategies. In the Bible, Nehemiah was doing important work, and people tried to pull him away. His response was simple: “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down” (Nehemiah 6:3). Progress requires focus and discipline over a long period.
You need to face the truth. You can be the biggest problem in your own business. Not the economy. Not your competitors. You. Every time you avoid the hard work and chase something easier, you weaken your business. Every time you abandon your plan, you delay your results. Pressure will come. Fear will come. But pressure is loud, it is not always right. Do not let it push you into bad decisions. Stay with your work. Stay with your mission. Rain or sunshine, keep going. In the end, your business will not fail because of others. It will fail if you refuse to stay focused.
