People are far more willing to support what they understand. Time, money, and energy are valuable resources, and thoughtful people do not commit them anyhow. Before others can join your mission, they must first see the vision behind it. This is why clarity matters so much. If the purpose is vague, support will also be weak or uncertain. Scripture captures this leadership principle in Habakkuk 2:2: “Write the vision, and make it plain, so that he may run who reads it.” When a mission is communicated well, people can recognize its value, understand their role, and confidently decide whether they will help move it forward.
At times it is helpful to pause and be honest about why progress has been slow. One common reason is lack of clarity. If what you are doing is not clear, it becomes difficult for others to support it. People cannot read your thoughts; they can only respond to what you can clearly express. Friends, family, investors, partners, and supporters need to understand what you are doing, why it matters, and how their contribution will help move it forward. When your explanation is unclear, hesitation follows. Therefore, learn to articulate your vision carefully. The clearer your message becomes, the easier it is for others to recognize its value.
You must begin to understand the need to write down your thoughts about your purpose, career, business etc. Writing the vision plainly requires discipline. Start by describing the problem you want to solve and the change you hope to see. Then explain, in simple language, what you are doing. Avoid complicated jargon. If you cannot explain your work to a five-year-old, the idea is probably not yet clear in your own mind. Clarity grows through practice. Write it down, refine it, and test your explanation with others until it becomes simple and understandable. Destiny helpers cannot help you if you’re confused about what you want.
