You Must Keep Moving Forward In Faith

Leading a purpose-driven life is not easy. The road is often rough, and the battles can feel endless. Sometimes it seems like as soon as one challenge passes, another one appears. This is the reality of anyone trying to live with intention and responsibility. A purpose-driven person must learn an important discipline: complain less, thank God more, and focus on the next move. Dwelling too long on difficulties can cloud your judgment and drain your strength. God always provides what you need for the next step. But if your mindset is wrong, you may overlook the help already placed before you.

The story of Moses and the children of Israel illustrates this mindset clearly. The Bible says, “He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel” (Psalm 103:7). That difference is profound. The people only reacted to what God had already done, but Moses trusted how God worked. So even when situations looked impossible, Moses kept moving forward in faith. At the Red Sea, God made a way. In the wilderness, manna appeared every morning. When the people wanted meat, the Lord sent quail. Again and again, when failure seemed certain, provision arrived. Moses trusted God’s ways, while the people kept panicking over temporary problems.

This is often the difference between those who fulfil their purpose and those who abandon the journey halfway. A purpose-driven person must learn the ways of God, not just celebrate His miracles. Signs and wonders are powerful, but understanding how God works builds lasting faith. When you learn His ways, you stop panicking at every difficulty. Instead, you trust that God has already provided what you need for the next step. Like the prayer in Ephesians 1:18, you ask that “the eyes of your understanding be enlightened.” Often, the provision is already near. What you need most is the wisdom to see it and the faith to move forward.
