He Makes Things Beautiful In His Time

Creativity and spiritual gifts are powerful, but results do not come by sheer effort alone. You can work hard, pray hard, fast long, and still find that outcomes refuse to bow to pressure. Why? Because life is governed by times and seasons. Scripture reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that there is a time for everything, and in verse 11 that God makes everything beautiful in His time. It also says in Ecclesiastes 9:11 that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. There is a divine rhythm we must learn to respect.

In practical terms, “He makes everything beautiful in His time” means your gift may be real, but the stage may not yet be ready. The creative developer may build app after app, yet none breaks out. The gifted teacher may prepare powerful lessons, yet struggle to gather students or grow a platform. It does not always mean you lack talent or discipline. Sometimes it simply means the season has not aligned. Timing shapes impact. Preparation meets opportunity at the right moment. What feels like delay may actually be development. Skills sharpening, character forming, networks building quietly for the right unveiling.

So what do you do while you wait for your season? You stay faithful. You keep building. You keep creating. But you also pray as Moses prayed in Psalms 90:17: “Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands.” In other words, Lord, put Your grace on what I do. Breathe on my effort. Align my timing. Establish what I cannot force. Creativity plus spiritual gifts plus divine favour, that is the difference. When His beauty rests on your work, what once struggled to stand can suddenly become established.
