In business, results are not mysterious. Your input of time, energy, knowledge, and skills is what determines your output. The difference between someone doing millions and another struggling with hundreds of thousands often comes down to knowledge and effort. Many lazy people assume money is the missing factor, but that is just an excuse. A determined person without capital learns how to find it. They study, negotiate, partner, sell, and raise funds. Business rewards problem-solvers, not wishers. Financing, scaling, and growth all require thinking and work. Lazy people cannot relate because they want results without working for it. In business, effort is not optional. It is the engine.
Scripture gives us a powerful example in Boaz. The Bible describes him as a mighty man of wealth (Ruth 2:1). In today’s language, that is like saying someone is a billionaire. In the short account we see in the book of Ruth, we can get a sense of where his wealth comes from. Boaz was clearly enterprising. He owned vast farmlands. He employed many workers. He managed operations, systems, and people. He showed up at the field. He understood his business. His wealth was the result of structure, diligence, and leadership. Boaz was doing the work. Wealth followed effort, not sentiment.
This is a truth many believers must face. Prayer does not replace effort. Faith does not cancel discipline. You can not dream of owning a big business, without thinking about the time, energy, knowledge, skills, and sacrifices it would demand from you. If your business is stagnant, look beyond money and examine your input. Are you learning enough? Are you working enough? Are you solving real problems consistently? God blesses work done with wisdom. Prosperity is not magic. It is the fruit of your labour. If you want different business results, you must increase your knowledge, your hours, and your seriousness. The marketplace responds to effort. Always has. Always will.
