Whoever Does The Most Work Wins

The Bible is very clear about the consequences of idleness. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands, and poverty arrives quietly but firmly (Proverbs 6:10-11). While you are resting endlessly, delaying, or waiting to feel inspired, someone else is working. And that person may be working against everything you stand for. Common sense tells us that effort compounds. Whoever shows up more, produces more, and stays consistent will naturally have more results. Hard work is not just a virtue. It is a competitive advantage in a world shaped by opposing missions.

For every good thing you want to do in your world, there is something opposite. Think about this practically. Two artists live in the same city. One is a Christian musician with strong values and a good message. The other promotes values you do not agree with. But the second artist releases music constantly, twelve tracks a year, multiple projects, aggressive promotion. The Christian artist releases one album in five years and waits for church networks to push it. Who has more songs in people’s phones? Who dominates clubs, playlists, and conversations? Influence follows effort.

Values alone do not guarantee visibility. The person who does more work fills more space. Jesus made it clear that there is an active opposition. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and he is consistent at it. But Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). That abundance does not spread by accident. If believers are passive about life, creativity, business, and culture, darkness will happily fill the gap. If you have a mission, you must work it. Someone with an opposing agenda is already doing so. Whoever does the most work wins. Choose wisely how you spend your time.
