Your Business Should Sell And Serve Everybody

In business, you are called to serve people the same way Jesus did, without discrimination, but without compromise. Jesus healed all who came to Him, yet He never adjusted His values to please the crowd. In the same way, your business should be open and accessible to all kinds of people. Do not limit your market because of personal bias, discomfort or fear. Serve believers and unbelievers, rich and poor. However, keep your principles clear. Do not bend truth, ethics, or conviction for profit. Keep your work clean, your systems honest, and your heart aligned with God, even as you serve the whole world.

Love is never neutral. It always leaves an imprint. We have seen this clearly with social media platforms. The values of their creators shaped the platforms, and over time, those platforms began to shape how people think, talk, and live. In the same way, your business carries your values. Your products and services are not empty; they are fruits of your faith and convictions. When you serve customers with honesty, care, and excellence, you are expressing the love of Christ in practical ways. You may not influence millions of users, but every client you serve is being shaped by the spirit behind your work.

Martin Luther once said, “The Christian shoemaker does his duty not by putting little crosses on the shoes, but by making good shoes, because God is interested in good craftsmanship.” This reminds us that every honest job is a calling from God. From consultants to traders to shoemakers, our work is a way to serve God and our neighbour. The goal is not to look spiritual, but to give ourselves in love through excellent work. Jesus served people in everyday life. You too should serve everybody, get paid honestly, and let the light of heaven shine through the quality of your work.
