You can not operate in the complete power and might of the Holy Spirit if you continue to compromise. When you’re on a God-given mission, you must be ready to stand for the mission at all times. There is no room for compromise. When you compromise the divine assignment, you lose touch with the spiritual force driving everything. You lose touch with the truth of your mission, and then lies and falsehood comes into the picture. Everything goes downhill from there. So, while it might seem extreme to suggest that one must love righteousness, and hate wickedness (Psalm 45:7). That is just how life works.
In every situation, you must represent your calling, without any excuse. When Apostle Paul was discouraged by the prophet Agabus due to revelations of potential dangers to the apostle, Paul didn’t even blink. He was firm, resolute and fully ready to go all out. He viewed this as a confirmation of his calling and declared his readiness to be imprisoned and even die for the Lord Jesus in Jerusalem (Acts 21:10-14). This was a man that understood the details of his calling. You can not only stand for your mission when all seems smooth and fine. It must be something you’re committed to in rainfall or sunshine.
It might be helpful to think about your mission as something God has programmed you to do. The only thing He has programmed you to do. The only thing you know how to do. When any situation arises contrary to that, you continue doing what He’s asked you to do. No excuses. No room for wickedness or any form of unrighteousness. Your ability to maintain complete integrity and fidelity to the cause is your linkage to unlimited power and might of the Holy Spirit. Stop shifting and accommodating wickedness and evil under whatever situation. God wants you to love one, and hate the other. No room for compromise.
