In the chaos of building a business or chasing a professional dream, it’s easy to drift. You begin with a word from God, but along the way, ambition, pressure, and opportunities begin to cloud your vision. Before long, you’re busy but no longer aligned. You’re running a business, but not the one heaven designed. You’re chasing impact, but you’ve lost the intimacy. God is calling you back; not to hustle, not to plan, but to return. To slow down. To seek His face again. In returning and rest shall you be saved (Isaiah 30:15).
The secret place is not a luxury; it is your lifeline. It is where clarity returns. It is where divine blueprints are downloaded again. Many Christian professionals and entrepreneurs are burned out not because their work is hard, but because their work is off. They’re pouring energy into things God never asked for. But the mercy of God still calls out: “Come back. Let’s talk.” This is not a time to overthink. It is a time to retreat, repent, and realign. Go back to your old journals. Ask: What did God originally ask me to build? Where did I go off course?
The secret place is where assignments are corrected and strength is renewed. If you’ve missed it, messed it, or mixed it, don’t panic. Don’t press harder. Press in. Don’t try to brainstorm your way out of confusion. It’s better to consult heaven. Pray. Fast. Block out a day or weekend if you must. Cancel the meetings. Heaven still speaks. And you still have time. You are not too far gone. But only those who return in quietness and rest will find the strength they need to finish well. May God bring you back to the place where it all began.
