Running a business can drain the life out of you. You start out excited and full of ideas, but somewhere along the way, the weight becomes too much. Deadlines pile up. Sales slow down. Staff quit. Clients complain. Cash dries up. You try to keep smiling, but inside, you’re tired. Deeply tired. You wonder if it’s worth it. You wonder if you’re even called to this path. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, you’re not alone. Many business owners silently carry this burden. But we must remember that the answer isn’t to quit. It’s to pause and seek help. Especially seeking help from God.
The world makes us think we must carry everything alone. That if you’re truly strong, you won’t need anyone. That’s a lie. Even Jesus, in His earthly life, leaned on the Father and surrounded Himself with people. Scripture tells us clearly in 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.” Trusting God in your business is not outdated. It’s wisdom. God is not just for church matters. He’s Lord over your spreadsheets, your payroll, your sales, and your strategy. He knows how tired you are. And He wants to help.
Don’t wait until you break down completely. Don’t keep pretending you’re okay. It’s time to trust again. That doesn’t mean you’ll sit back and do nothing. It means you’ll stop carrying it all alone. Invite God into your business decisions. Ask for wisdom. Rest in Him. Let Him refresh your spirit. You can go further when you are not running on empty. Business is hard, yes. But with God’s help, you will not just survive. You will thrive. He is still your Shepherd. He restores your soul. And that includes your work life too.
