Many young people think they need a big investor or a government grant before they can start their business or other projects. But what if you could access nearly unlimited capital for free? It’s possible, and the key is building strong relationships. Relationships are the highest form of capital available to you. If you can be trusted, if you walk in integrity, people will open doors for you. They will give you space, resources, and even money, all because they trust your character. Proverbs 22:1 says, “A good name is more desirable than great riches.” That’s real capital.
If you’re just starting out, your name and reputation are your most important assets. Do you show up when you say you will? Do you follow through on your promises? These small things build trust. There are real stories of people who got stores, buildings, and major opportunities because they had integrity. You need to start thinking beyond money. One woman got a shop space for free, and suppliers filled it with goods because they trusted her. Another young man was given a whole building by his mentor, simply because he was known to be diligent and trustworthy. That’s the power of relationship capital.
So, if things seem slow in your career, business or ministry, ask yourself: am I trustworthy? Do I have integrity? Do I treat people well and keep my word? If the answer is no, work on that first. God uses people to bless people. The capital you need is already around you. It is locked inside people’s hearts. But only integrity and trust can unlock it. Build strong, meaningful relationships. Let your reputation go ahead of you. And as you do, you’ll find that capital will begin to flow. Not just money, but space, support, and influence. That’s how you watch your world and grow in it.
