You Should Create More Often

As a creative and business-minded Christian, one of the most powerful habits you can develop is the habit of creating. Create more often. Don’t wait for perfection or some grand breakthrough. The Bible says in Romans 12:6, “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them…” You are only expected to create based on your current level of faith and grace. Start where you are. Use what you have. The more you create and take action, the more you grow. God multiplies the work of those who are willing to move.

The secret to mastery is not magic. It is iteration. Do it again. Then again. Tweak it. Improve it. Adjust it. You are not called to be perfect on your first try. You are called to be faithful. Many people never become impactful because they refuse to start small. They don’t give themselves the chance to grow through the process of iteration. The goal is accuracy. You have to be sure you’re creating the right things. But then comes iteration. Which is a strong commitment to getting better at the right things. That’s how excellence is born.

So, start creating. Don’t hide your creativity. Don’t bury your gifts in overthinking or endless planning. When you create, you learn. When you create, God meets you there. There are things about your gift you’ll never discover until you begin to use it regularly. As you work, you’ll see clearer. As you produce, you’ll be refined. The path to growth is paved by consistent creation. Stop waiting for perfect conditions. The faith you have now is enough to start. Just begin. And never stop refining. That’s how you shine your light in the world.
