Switch Off Your Mind, Switch On Your Spirit

There is a level of creativity and spiritual power that the human mind cannot fully grasp. Many times, God wants to do something new, something extraordinary, but our logical thinking gets in the way. We overanalyze, question, and sometimes even doubt what He is trying to do through us. In Numbers 11:21-23, Moses struggled with this. When God told him that Israel would have meat to eat for a whole month, Moses immediately questioned how that could be possible. Yet, God responded, “Is the Lord’s arm too short?” In other words, “Stop thinking in human terms. Let Me be God.”

This is the challenge for those who desire to operate in creativity and spiritual gifts. If you rely too much on logic, reason, and past experiences, you may shut down what God wants to reveal. Great inventors, scientists, prophets, and visionaries throughout history have tapped into something beyond conventional wisdom. They allowed themselves to be led by inspiration, often seeing possibilities where others saw limitations. Likewise, those who move in spiritual gifts. Gifts like prophecy, healing, and words of wisdom, do not depend on their human intellect but on divine revelation. If you are waiting for everything to “make sense” before you take action, you may never move at all.

To truly create, innovate, and walk in the power of God, you must learn to switch off your need to control and predict outcomes. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” This does not mean abandoning wisdom but rather embracing the higher wisdom of God. Let your spirit be open. Let faith rise above doubt. When God gives you an idea, a vision, or a word, don’t shut it down with human reasoning. Instead, step forward in faith and let Him surprise you.
