God has blessed each of us with unique spiritual gifts and talents, and it is scriptural to monetize them. “A worker deserves his wages” (Luke 10:7). However, we must be cautious not to operate out of greed or selfish ambition. When profit becomes the sole focus, it corrupts the true purpose of our gifts and distracts us from our God-given mission. Instead of reflecting God’s love and purpose, greed robs us of the joy and fulfillment that comes from serving others through our talents. Always examine your motives to ensure they are pure and aligned with God’s will.
As you use your gifts, never allow money to create a barrier between you and the people you are called to serve. Consider how Jesus fed the five thousand without charge, meeting a physical need while fulfilling His mission (John 6:1–14). Following His example, be intentional about offering something for everyone—whether free, affordable, or premium. This allows your gifts to reach the widest audience and ensures that those in need can access the blessings God has given you to share. Remember, it’s not about exclusion but about creating opportunities for impact.
Ultimately, balance is key. You can honor God by wisely stewarding your gifts while also creating room for generosity. Be guided by the Holy Spirit to set fair prices that reflect the value of your work, while remaining flexible to make your services accessible. By doing so, you remain faithful to your mission, allowing your gifts to glorify God and touch the lives of those who need them most. As Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Stay focused on your purpose, and trust God to provide abundantly.
