The Secret To Making Money As A Mission-driven Person

Jerry Savelle once shared that whenever Kenneth Copeland wanted to increase his income, he did not sit around “claiming money.” He simply looked for more ways to get the Word out. He went on more radio stations, more TV platforms, started newsletters, and expanded his reach. That mindset reveals a simple truth many people miss: income is tied to impact. Money is not abstract. It is a response. If you want to earn more, you must serve more people. If you want more income, increase the reach, quality, and consistency of your work. Mission first. Money follows.

You must wake up to this reality: money is a shadow. It reflects something else. Money follows productivity the way a shadow follows a body. When productivity is low, income is low. Proverbs says there is much food in the tillage of the poor. That means poverty is often not lack of land, but lack of labour. If you spend all day worrying about money instead of improving your output, you will stay stuck. Obsessing over income without increasing usefulness is backward thinking. Focus on doing more meaningful work in line with your mission. The shadow will adjust.

Mission-driven people do not chase money; they chase obedience and excellence. When you take your assignment seriously, finances become a byproduct, not a prayer point. Jesus taught this: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Added things are not pursued directly; they are attracted. If money is not showing up, check your work. Check your consistency. Check your impact. Increase your reach. Create more products. Host more events. Write more books. Serve more people. Solve bigger problems. Money will follow the work, every time.
