Sometimes, you just get tired. You have been showing up, doing the work, pushing forward, but something inside you feels weak. The excitement is gone. The energy is low. Even things that once gave you joy now feel heavy. This happens to people on serious missions. It is not a sign that you are failing. It is a sign that you are human. When you carry responsibility for a long time, you can become battle weary. You may not even say it out loud, but deep down, you feel it. And that feeling is more common than you think.
Jeremiah understood this feeling. At one point, he became so tired of his assignment that he said he would stop speaking in God’s name. But then he said something powerful: “His word is in my heart like a fire… I am weary of holding it in” (Jeremiah 20:9). He was tired, but he could not walk away. The calling was still alive inside him. This is important. You may feel weak, but the mission has not left you. That inner pull, that sense that you cannot fully walk away, that is a sign. It means there is still something burning inside, even if it feels low.
So do not be too quick to judge yourself in this season. Feeling tired does not mean you are done. It does not mean you chose the wrong path. It simply means you have been carrying weight. Instead of forcing yourself or giving up, slow down and listen. Take time to rest your mind. Return to God. Let Him strengthen you again. The fire may feel small right now, but it is still there. You do not need to pretend. Just stay connected. In time, your strength will return. And when it does, you will rise again with clearer focus and renewed energy.
