Brand New Day

There are moments when you look around and feel disappointed by what you see. Leaders fail. Systems collapse. People you once trusted fall short of their responsibility. Nations drift. Communities suffer. You look at your country and wonder how things became this bad. It can feel like everything has gone wrong and nothing is changing. But Scripture reminds us of something important. God is never confused by human failure. He is never stuck. He is never surprised. Even when people fail their assignment, God remains at work, quietly moving history forward.

In 1 Samuel 15, Saul had failed as king, and Samuel mourned deeply over it. He was grieving what could have been. But in 1 Samuel 16, God interrupted his mourning with a firm question: “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him?” Then God gave him a new assignment. Fill your horn with oil and go. God had already moved on. A new king was being prepared, even while the old one still sat on the throne. This is a powerful lesson. God does not pause His plans because people fail.

When one season ends, another is already being formed. This is the perspective you need when the world feels broken. Yes, things may look dark. Yes, people may have failed. But God is still raising men and women for the next phase of His work. The question is whether you will remain stuck in mourning or rise to participate in what He is doing next. Every new season begins with obedience, clarity, and courage. Do not be discouraged by what has failed. God is not done. It is a brand new day.
