No, You Do Not Need Millions To Get Started

Many people delay their life’s mission because they think they need more money, more tools, or a bigger platform. But Jesus taught the opposite. If you read Matthew 10:5–10 in The Message version, you’ll see how Jesus sent His disciples out with clear instructions. Go to the people right in front of you. Don’t wait to raise funds. Don’t overprepare. Don’t chase drama or attention. He told them plainly, “You are the equipment.” That means what God has already placed in you is enough to begin. If you understand your mission, you can start today, right where you are, with what you already have.

Many people say they are waiting for the right time, but what they are really chasing is vanity. They want status, clout, recognition, and a big stage before they are willing to serve. If the goal was truly to help people, there would always be work to do today. There are problems around you right now. There are people who need value right now. But ego delays obedience. We prefer dreaming about a future where everything is perfect instead of leading with our mission daily. When mission is clear, excuses fade. Purpose-driven people focus on solving problems, not chasing applause.

If your mission is clear, you can start today, right now, with what you already have. You can walk across the road, serve people, solve problems, collect clients, and get paid. Thinking you need something more may mean you do not yet understand what God is calling you to do in that space. Remember: “You are the equipment.” Start by writing down your mission, exactly what you believe God wants you to do. Then write your vision, what the world would look like if you did it well. If you cannot write it yet, go and work for the most purpose-driven organisation you can find. Then get started immediately.
