Your world did not descend into hell overnight. It is reasonable to also conclude that it will not change overnight. Your job is to stand in for heaven in prayers and daily actions. You have to keep doing the good you know to do, for a long time, even when it looks like it is not working. You will spend so much time, energy, and resources into your mission. And the results will not be encouraging. But the religious state of your world, along with its culture, economy and government can change. And your actions can make a lot of difference.
As we labour in the vineyard of the master through our business, ministry or career, it is hard to get enough perspectives on what God is doing on a larger scale. You don’t know everything heaven is planning and executing overall. You are only aware of your own mission. You might not know what other missions are going on to complement your own. As you do your best work, you must learn to focus on your own assignment and trust that every other thing that needs to go right in your world is being handled.
So, pray and believe that God is at work in your family, community, industry, or nation. Play your own role, and do your job to the best of your abilities. If your best is not good enough to get the results that the master wants. You will have to commit to learning and growth. The best thing you can do is to produce the results God is expecting from you. When you have committed to playing your own role, the only thing left to do is to thank God. Thank God because you know he is in control. You thank God because you know everything will be alright.
