Pray As Correctly As You Can, As Seriously As You Can

Many believers struggle with prayers. Some of this comes from the yoke of sin. A feeling of unworthiness before God. Like, “who am I to pray to God?” This is why they hide behind their prophets and pastors. They say to themselves, “If I am not good enough to pray, at least someone can pray to him on my behalf.” This is partly the reason some Christians pray to God through dead saints. They want to petition God through St. Thomas for example. This is not a good position for a real Christian. You’re a child of God, start thinking like one! Start praying like one!

First of all, we understand from the Holy Bible that we can never be holy or righteous enough to approach God (Isaiah 64:6). Nobody, not even your highly rated apostles are holy based on their lifestyle or works. Our righteousness is a gift from God. A gift you receive by faith. You are saved by faith alone, through the grace of God alone. Come to God from a place of understanding that you are a child of God. And he wants to commune with you. God desires a vibrant prayer lifestyle from all of his children. Come and pray. Spend time in personal prayer time with God.

Some people don’t believe in their prayers due to the award winning stories of alleged spiritual encounters others are having in their prayer life. They are always seeing spirits, and angels. They even claim Jesus Christ himself came to appear to them. We thank God for their lives and testimonies (if genuine). The fact is this; it is not your job to make prayer feel prayerful. Just pray as right as you can, as seriously as you can. Visions and dreams are not fool-proof. Visions and dreams can come from hell. Your job is to pray according to the will of God at all times. That’s all you can do.
