Spirituality Is Not an Excuse for Ignorance

A lot of people hide behind spirituality to avoid growth. They use prayer as a substitute for planning, or tongues to mask their laziness. But no matter how gifted you are, ignorance will limit your impact. Spiritual fire does not cancel your need for training, research, and preparation. If you don’t understand how your field works, how money flows, or how to solve real-world problems, you will remain frustrated. The Holy Spirit is not anti-intelligence. He is the Spirit of wisdom. Jesus Himself asked questions in the temple and grew in wisdom (Luke 2:46,52). Why do you think you can skip that process?

You can’t find yourself doing something in media, tech, politics or governance, and yet refuse to study how those spaces function. You suddenly find yourself around Nigerian politics, but refuse to learn how things work there. Thinking its all about prayers. You want to be a kingdom entrepreneur but you’ve never read a book on product design or business strategy. That’s not spirituality. That’s negligence. God is not glorified by your ignorance. You must understand the environment you are sent to influence. Your light will not shine just because it’s light. It must connect with the people and structures around it.

The truth is, the Holy Spirit doesn’t reward guesswork. He rewards diligence. You need to learn how to think, how to manage resources, how to lead teams, and how to grow in wisdom. These are all things to be learned. Don’t expect divine results if you keep ignoring the natural laws that govern your industry. Faith does not cancel study. Prayer does not replace preparation. If you’re going to watch your world and make a real difference, then ignorance is not an option. Don’t let your lack of knowledge be the reason your assignment fails. You are spiritual, but you must also be sharp.
