The call of God upon your life will often lead you through painful seasons. You will sow in tears. There will be moments when it feels like your sacrifices, your long hours, and your faithfulness are unnoticed and unrewarded. But God sees it all. Psalm 126 tells us that those who sow in tears will reap with joy. That means your tears are not wasted. Your effort is not in vain. Every drop of sweat, every difficult day, every disappointment. God is using it to build something glorious. Stay the course. Your joyful harvest will come.
Ministry and mission work were never promised to be easy. In fact, it was always going to be hard. Whether you are leading a startup, running a church department, volunteering at an NGO, or teaching children; when your work is mission-driven, you will face challenges. But always remember that the pain is not a sign that you’re in the wrong place. It’s often proof that you’re exactly where you need to be. You are in the field, sowing good seeds. Keep planting, even with tears in your eyes. God will not forget your work.
When the season changes, you will come back carrying sheaves of joy. He has made everything beautiful in its time. The reward will be clear, the fruit undeniable. You will see lives changed, communities impacted, and dreams fulfilled. So, take a deep breath and keep going. You have come too far to quit. Encourage yourself in the Lord. You are not alone. Millions of believers across the world are holding on, just like you. We are all part of something bigger than ourselves, and our faithfulness matters. You will testify. Just don’t stop sowing.
