It Takes Collective Effort And Competence To Build A Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” But let’s take it a step further: where there are no people, the vision perishes. The quality and quantity of people working to make a vision a reality matters greatly. It’s not enough to write the vision and make it plain; we also need someone willing and able to run with it (Habakkuk 2:2). Be conscious of the considerable human capital requirements of any vision. Every vision needs people with the knowledge, training, and capacity to deliver. Without the right team, even the best visions can fail.

Though all attention was on David, nothing significant happened until the Cave of Adullam, where 400 men gathered unto him (1 Samuel 22:1-2). That was the beginning, where the vision started gaining the momentum needed to become a reality. Similarly, look at any growing church, ministry, or business conglomerate, and pay attention to the team behind it. The difference between a multimillion Naira company and a multimillion Dollar company lies in the quality of the minds charged with the organization’s affairs. It’s the collective effort and competence of the people that turn visions into tangible success.

In conclusion, whether you’re starting your own mission or joining forces with another founder, remember that achieving success requires more than just individual effort. It’s not just about starting something, but about doing your best work in a way that glorifies God. Success demands a dedicated and skilled team committed to the mission. Seek out those who share your passion and have the ability to contribute meaningfully. Invest in their growth and development, just as you invest in your own. By building a strong, capable team, you not only bring your vision to life but also ensure its sustainability and impact. Ultimately, it takes people to make a vision thrive.
