People Who Follow God Face Real Needs

You are running your destiny race as well as you can. But things are tight. You’ve not paid for rent. Maybe you owe people. Maybe feeding is not even certain. You are trying to follow your God-given mission, but things are not adding up. It can feel confusing and even discouraging. You may be asking, “God, where are you in all this?” First, be honest about your situation. This is real. This is hard. But do not conclude that God has left you. The Bible says, “I have never seen the righteous forsaken” (Psalm 37:25). This season is not the end of your story.

We see in the Bible, people who followed God faced real needs. The widow in 2 Kings 4 was in debt and about to lose her sons. It was serious. But God stepped in and made a way through what she already had. This shows us something important. These hard times are in a sense, part of the plan. In times like this, you must stay close to Him and stay practical. Look at what is in your hand. What can you do today? What small step can you take? Faith is not denial. It is trusting God while still taking action.

So take a breath and steady your heart. Do not panic. Do not give up. Break things down into simple steps. Call who you need to call. Start with godly counsel. Ask for help where needed. Do honest work, even if it feels small. Keep your mission alive, but also handle today’s needs with wisdom. God is with you in this moment, not just in your future success. Pray, think, act, and move forward step by step. This season will pass. You will come out stronger, wiser, and more grounded. Hold on. Keep going. There is still a path forward, and God will help you find it.
