Business Demands That You Face Reality

If you truly want to influence the world for God, you must learn to face reality. Vision, faith, and passion are important, but they must rest on truth. Reality tells you what is working and what is not. It shows you the real state of your effort, your results, and your progress. Many people avoid this because it can be uncomfortable. It is easier to stay in ideas than to confront facts. But you cannot change what you refuse to face. Jesus said you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Freedom begins when you deal honestly with reality.

In some environments, it is easier to avoid reality. For example, in certain church settings, people may still gather, give, and respond, even when deeper issues are not addressed. A message can be powerful, and people can be inspired, yet results in real life may not change much. But business does not allow that kind of comfort. If customers are not buying, the numbers will show it. If your product is not useful, people will not return. If there is no value, there will be no growth. Business forces you to face facts daily. It does not respond to good intentions alone, but to real results.

As a purpose-driven business owner, you must accept this responsibility. If your business is not growing, something is missing, and you must find it. It may be your product, your pricing, your marketing, or your understanding of the customer. Do not take it personally, but do take it seriously. Refuse to hide behind effort alone. Face the numbers. Ask hard questions. Seek honest feedback. Then make the necessary changes. This is how progress happens. When you combine faith with truth, and vision with reality, your work becomes stronger. Deal with reality, and you give your mission a real chance to succeed and grow.
